Our bedroom is ~14 sqm and we have 1.51/1.44 (1.44 there because of the escape route, otherwise all our parapet windows are 1.38 high with RBH 1m). The floor-to-ceiling windows are logically 2.38. But in any case, the light in the bedroom is enough for us. It’s not super bright, but I don’t spend much time there during the day. In all other rooms on the upper floor we have an additional double-leaf window.

I think it can look very nice and open without a door – if you don’t have children. Even with guests, I sometimes find it more practical with a door. It also acts as noise protection (in our case to the utility room because of the washing machine/ventilation unit). In theory, you could also take the door off or remove it at some point. In our case, it opens into the living room, but we also have a wall directly there where it shuts against. I would decide that based on the floor plan.

Regarding the terrace doors at height 213: which measurement are we talking about here? - 213 as a rough construction measure, but measured from the top edge of the finished floor, is higher than 226 minus, for example, 18 cm floor construction.

It is precisely for this reason that the Lord created independent architects. Architects are commissioned, draftmen are assigned. I could phrase it even more sharply but politely: building owners commission architects, contracting lackeys get draftmen.

That would be 12:10, 14:10, or 16:10, whereby already the width 1.51 is, in my opinion, a lower limit for a double-wing window. But keep in mind: if there is also a wardrobe depth going off to one side, that it doesn’t look like it’s slapped on there almost without any space.

This post should actually be pinned for all insight-phobes

Lovely*, when the moon shines on the patch during marital duty
*) Or now in the carnival season I should actually say, lovveeelie one-time - shall we let it roll? *SCNR*

That would end at 196 on the other hand, earlier 213 was still too low for you. I wouldn’t take the faucet into account by the parapet height, but by the "basilicum window"

Who is the house planner now again with an "architect"?

I mean the house seller. She also calls herself a house planner and made the preliminary draft and has now handed it over to the architect.

And yes, he is just a draftsman and draws what he is told, without his own ideas. We don’t have the money for a freelance architect. Basically, thanks to you, we at least know what we want and what is important, even if I don’t consider everything.

We have 2.20m raw construction measurement here. From the floor to the top edge. These 213 are raw construction measurements, at least that’s how I understand it. In the catalog, for example, the floor plans state at the windows 1.76/2.13. And see my first post #1. It’s also stated like that in the floor plan. What does that mean? That 2.13 are actually higher?

I have drawn. For now, it’s only about the room layout. Windows will follow.
A bit embarrassing, but I have no problem and when drawing freely I couldn't get the proportions right.
What else could I improve? How do you like it?
We will give up 15-20cm from the living area. That will benefit the bedroom and maybe a wider shower in the master bathroom. I hope the showers will work out so that I can do without a door and without much splashing.
I didn’t know how to draw the showers, since he had already drawn the showers in 3 different ways himself. Maybe I have to send the architect a picture of my desired shower.

Exactly, basil window. I thought that’s really what it’s called. But I actually found nothing under that name on Google.
