1. What does the living/dining area have to do with the children's rooms? Due to the statics, that shouldn't matter.
2. The children's rooms are in the south in your current plan, right? Depending on how old your children are, they can also sleep with the window open while you are still partying downstairs on the terrace if you change the room layout.

Why can’t you judge anything yourself? Have you never lived in a room? If you currently live in a tent, then visit someone who has an apartment or a house and measure the room sizes that you like for children, beds, living spaces, etc. Show homes also offer this service.
Otherwise, yes, you can also build and live much smaller. I find 20 sqm for a children's room very generous. Others manage with half that. Also, they are poorly usable as they are almost square. There will be a big empty nothing in the middle of the room. And yes, if you can afford it, you still build that big and put a climbing castle or train set in the middle.

No. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

If I look at it correctly, isn’t this almost the original draft you had before the one presented here in #1? 135 pages of wandering only to end up back at the starting point? And as far as I know, you still haven’t talked about the elevations.

Just by the way: The openings on the ground floor on the plan right, are those all patio doors? Or are those just windows? Because where there are patio doors, there should be a terrace. If it goes all around the house – that also costs something.

wow .....136 pages for one floor plan

My opinion on that: I still don’t understand why anyone would choose 2 doors for an "open concept"?! The 2 extra steps are absolutely acceptable.

Ground floor: I would take one door for the living/dining and kitchen area, I would push the island a bit further up, that way you could gain space again for the wardrobe.

Upper floor: I would cancel the master bathroom and instead plan a study, if you absolutely need one, plus you still have the guest WC on the ground floor.

I still think the floor plan is good.

I meant comfortable distance. I don’t know exactly how big our TV is, rather small. Still, I want at least 4m. I want to put in a living room set, the sections there are often over 2m long and you can sit comfortably with people. My parents have 3.6m to the TV wall, that is too little for us.

Sorry, I meant it differently. The stairs are there in front. And since we want the living room and dining room to be large, the children’s rooms are large.
But the proportion fits us. Our bedroom is also large and we mostly spend time in the living area.

Patio doors. We are still clarifying how to get out. There won’t be a terrace there. At most a path. Visually we don’t like half-height doors since we want so many floor-to-ceiling on the south side anyway.

We find 2 accesses practical. We want to try it open and keep the option open to add doors if necessary.

I decided to adjust window sizes again. For example, for the children and in the master bedroom. So that all windows in the house are 101/132 and 201/132 or 201/220. Then a concept runs through. And then the children don’t have to get a 2-leaf window on the sides. A 101/132 is enough, if they get a 201/220 on the south side. That’s also better for the arrangement.

In the kitchen, however, there is a 113/220 door. There won’t be a terrace there. But the door will be used to take out the trash.
Would you leave the door that big or would a 101/220 door be enough?

Of course, a 1m wide door is also sufficient.

We have a roof window in the tent roof on the north side which we wanted to use for ventilation. In the attic, we only have a little space available. Is it disadvantageous to position the window to the east or west? Maybe because of the sunlight?

We currently have 3.5m raw dimension in length for the bedroom. It would of course be great to be able to place 3.5m Pax wardrobes. What raw dimension would you probably need for that?

If anyone is still interested, you can take a look at the new floor plans. Maybe you’ll find something I haven’t considered. We will enlarge the west window in the dining area to 176/220. I think this 101/220 one doesn’t work there.
