So yes, I am serious about the kitchen being accessible. I googled about podesttreppe and storage room. ALL photos showed the door as in my floor plan. I also didn’t find anything like that on Instagram.

I now know what I want.

Yes, I have already taken apart the design that Chris posted. I really like the downstairs. But upstairs I wasn’t able to arrange the rooms well. I absolutely want 2 bathrooms, a smaller one for us parents, and a bathtub for the children. Upstairs I couldn’t manage anything reasonable. The design has many advantages, but also disadvantages. Just like my current design.

So I can well imagine making the office accessible from the living room. Then I would create a coat niche in the hallway over 2 meters long. That would be great. How deep should the niche be in the shell construction? I can imagine installing a sliding door closet.

Then the sofa naturally would no longer fit in the office. But that’s not a problem. Then the office would really just be for a few storage cabinets, a desk, and space for a printer. I also imagine it practical to keep an eye on the kids so they don’t surf the internet for too long later. Then they could quietly research and print there, for example for their homework. So there would be a fixed place for that.

For a sliding door wardrobe, the niche should be 70 cm

This is how I would do it. Did I overlook anything? A 2-meter cabinet can definitely be placed like that. Of course, I have to change the window measurement. A two-leaf window probably won’t work anymore. Does anyone have an idea of what could look nice? Otherwise, I would choose 1.00/1.26. But I’m not very experienced. I would probably position the sofa as drawn.

You can find the door under Griffwerk Planeo Loft. We have chosen variant 1. I can’t show anything yet, it has just been ordered. Currently, we only have the shell construction, and the upper floor ceiling will arrive tomorrow. Interior work will unfortunately still take some time.
