And an office with a width of 2.42m by about 4m, not too narrow?

Yes, very much so.

From what length does a room no longer feel like a corridor at 4m length?

The floor plan and arrangement are set. I'm considering how I can redistribute a few centimeters.

In our old apartment we had 3.3m. Sure, it works, but it was quite tight and there was little space between the coffee table and the TV. Now we have 4.3m and I find it very comfortable. Surely 4m is enough as well.

By the way, we are swapping kitchen and living room and decided against a pantry and in favor of an office. We then have a nice TV corner without windows and the sofa position is great. From the kitchen you can go out to the terrace. I am currently waiting for a new drawing from the architect. But I am happier than before with the decisions.

Good decision with the office. I am curious about the new plans. Why are you swapping kitchen and living room? The living room was ideal there and had enough space. It will probably be too tight in the small kitchen corner, I think? But maybe the architect will come up with something great. I think it's great to be able to go from the kitchen to the terrace, we have that too. Yes, perhaps overall it is a good decision if it doesn’t become too tight.

From the sofa to the TV it will probably be 4.07m as a rough measurement. I actually mean the length to place the sofa. Is that enough or can it be less? I am not sure if I should give a few cm from the 3.30m to the office. Then it would be 2.52m wide instead of 2.42m. Maybe the office would feel less narrow then?

I will put it here then. We are exchanging due to a better sofa position and the possibility to go from the kitchen to the terrace.
