I took a long time, at first I was really sad and would have loved to tear open many exterior walls again. It's such a big difference between the floor plan and reality. And only now have I realized what is important to me in a house and what I didn't realize. But maybe in 5 years it will be different again and I will find it great, who knows. In the end, we were also limited by neighboring buildings etc. and as you already said, you don't want to sit in a glass house, but it is still a shame when you have to give something up just because the shape of the plot or the neighbor forces you to. And yes, our architect gave no input. And also showed no alternatives. And you can live well with it? So you also had an architect who only drew but did not advise / gave no input? I would probably want to build again sometime with the new experiences. But my husband won't do it with me a second time. It's probably better that way.
