I’m telling you, you’re still going full speed. And I don’t see you going to the kitchen studio 15 times, but 22 times.

A double-wing door doesn’t necessarily mean you can only empty the dishwasher in an evening dress. But at 120 cm width, symmetrically divided means you have to open both wings to walk through—unless you are as scrawny as I suspect from your perfectionism.

Why the most flexible system? I am not familiar with Metod.

I have read that Platsa is suitable for high ceilings. What exactly that means, I don't know yet. But it sounds good if the cabinets are a bit higher, because it looks better when there is not so much space between the ceiling and the cabinet. 80+80+60 cm sounds good. What are the gradations/sizes available with Metod? I definitely want a clothes rail. I'll put a few hooks on the wall for light jackets. So 55 cm depth would be it. What is best to use for that in the raw construction? I want the cabinet with doors. I don't need sliding doors at all. Normal cabinet doors are enough. I also don't want the cabinet to disappear too much into the niche. I also don't know how much safety clearance to allow. How do you calculate that? 2 cm filler + 2 cm space before the cabinet is placed + 55 cm carcass + 2 cm door? = 61 cm How much clearance in case the craftsmen don’t work exactly to the cm?

The "putty" means plaster, and the craftsmen not only don't work to the exact centimeter, but they are also not as meticulous about being perfectly vertical as a watchmaker. A thumb's width is not just the quantum leap in tolerances, but also the expected deviation from vertical over a cabinet or even room height.

Metod is just Ikea's kitchen cabinet system. Not as flexible as other kitchen manufacturers, but still more than anything else at Ikea, as far as I know. Cabinet widths of 40-60-80 cm, heights from 40-240 cm combinable. The shallow cabinets are perfect for binders and in children's rooms for toys and clothes.

Attached are photos of wardrobe, children's room and study cabinets, each about 90% finished, all Ikea Metod.

How many cm would you then make in the shell construction for the desired 55 cm deep carcass?

looks good!

No, I don't want it like that. I want it more like described by kaho. 90 + 30. What is that called? That's also 1.2m, right?
