Of course, it also depends on the ground floor, it has to match. For example, I would prefer 1.76m instead of the 1.51m width; in our first house, we had a 1.51m wide double casement window, and the glass area is not particularly large. I wouldn’t go below 1m width at all, not even in the children's bathroom. With your floor-to-ceiling windows, you have to make sure that the finished dimension is really specified, so that you don't end up having to pay for the floor construction later. Best regards Sabine

How big would you make the stairwell window?

I can clearly see it on the drawing in post #622, I’m just too lazy to scroll back through your umpteen floor plans. But for example, I also see it in post #1, there at the dimension line. Make it 92.5 (assuming 16 cm floor structure).

Where??? I really don’t see that. In #622 you can hardly miss anything. Those are just window measurements.

But you're kidding me now with the parapet height, right?

See attachments - as shown there with the windows and the front door, it would also apply to the interior doors.

Not at all. As said, based on 16 cm floor construction: four jumbo stone rows = total 100, minus 16 cm = remaining 84, then one layer of NF, which makes 92.5 again; you can also take one layer of 2DF, which would correspond to 96.5.

Oh, I could read the window heights there. I thought you had recognized interior door heights there. What is this "hoch 5" with some numbers? You really know your stuff. Does that mean if I don’t know and choose a “wrong” railing height, I might end up paying more because it’s more complex? Is house planning really such a science, or is it ultimately just as nice whether the railing height is 87, 92.5, 94, or 99? There is no standard for windows. How do other people handle that? Are they better advised? How long is it usually normal to fiddle with a floor plan?
