Yes / yes / no. I don’t want to encourage a fuss, but just get that stupid calorie counting with the raw construction centimeters out of your head. The struggle is unbearable to watch. What do you mean by that? – under nominal dimension 251 that’s not a gain in passage width, is it (?)

So you think the office is too narrow? How am I supposed to handle the room distribution if not by dividing it by cm? I have to make sure the centimeters are well distributed so that everything fits. The length is limited after all and the house is not huge.

I find the new layout quite good so far - you can’t see the rest yet.

But why exactly shouldn’t there be a window in the [Kuschelecke]? There are enough windows next to it, but at the back it’s always a bit dark. Do you want that? That would then be, for example, not a place to sit down with guests, but exclusively for watching TV. I would find that a bit one-sided. A window can also be darkened afterward if needed. Carving it in afterward, on the other hand, is no longer possible.

However, this is just my personal feeling. My husband, for example, wouldn’t need any windows at all in the whole house, the caveman.

I don't understand the thing with the 251. It was about the fact that the DK door does not open into the room - after all, you often want to walk around the table, or if there is a chair at the end, it could hit the open door.

Of course, it also depends on what is opposite. If there is a house there, I would think carefully about a window. An alternative might then be a narrow window that is higher up, like 2 x 0.76 or so. It brings light but also protects against views.

No, it is not too narrow. Where would that come from? - 242/400 is approximately a ratio of 1.65:1, a "narrow space" only starts at about 3:1. What kind of stuff are you smoking if you think you have to do that? - Rooms are not offended if the sibling from the mother gets a bigger lollipop. You don’t have to distribute anything fairly. You live in rooms, not in centimeters. If you really "manage" to make everything "fit" - then it will also "fit" - meaning "Everything has only one possible place and can only be swapped with something of the same size". That creates stagnation - not coziness. I assumed the passage dimension: replacing a 50/50 split double-leaf flush door with a nominal width of 226 by a sliding door is no gain under a nominal width of 251.
