I thought indirect light from the north. We don’t watch TV in the dark and we rather work there during the day. But more like a snap idea?

*ROTFL* Sweetheart, got it covered. I'm cracking up. Here's to a Doornkaat, extra dry.

Harmony is better than symmetry – it leaves a longer taste

The plan is roughly facing south – but that's not the reason for the widely lost overview.

That doesn't shine noticeably strong. Or did you mean ?

Where do you still see issues?

What do you mean by that?

I also don't understand the reference to nordlys.

I'll take a normal door. Saves money.

Which wall would you place the sofa against to watch TV and why?

And sorry for the long thread. But in my private life no one has any idea or desire to deal with the house planning. And if I do it all alone with my husband, you've already seen that we don't consider a lot.
I'm thankful for any help here.

How do you come to that? Are there standardized wardrobes? Where will I buy them later then? We also have such a niche in the apartment. It is 60 cm. Some kind of rail system from the hardware store was used there. The 60 cm is also okay. But if 70 cm is the standard, I don’t want to mess it up in my own home and simply be compatible with my wardrobe system.

A 70 cm niche would be used for the classic Pax cabinets with sliding doors. If you want to equip the niche with just a sliding element (i.e. without a cabinet corpus) you are of course more variable in depth. Then just take a hanger, measure it and add some clearance on top. But I wouldn’t go below 60 cm.

Our brother-in-law will install the doors (we ordered them twice: single-leaf for the dining room and double-leaf with a fixed side panel for the living room). However, he is also a carpenter. I wouldn’t do it myself with such a door.

Go to the local glazier. They have nice showrooms here. They will make you a custom glass door. You can also have special sizes made and put the door together according to your wishes. It’s not as expensive as one might think. For such a prominent place as the living room, I would always choose something like that. Our glazier is making us a swing door to the storage room that matches our kitchen glass fronts.
