We mixed 176 (2-leaf) and 113 (1 leaf) in the living room. If it makes sense, you can do it that way, sometimes there simply isn’t room for windows of the same size in some places, because of the upper floor etc.

What had you not considered?

We have a relatively narrow house, so it was difficult anyway to achieve symmetry on the gable side between the upper and lower floors. Then we also wanted privacy, so we opted for the 113cm window instead of a wider one. Additionally, we didn't want all the arms of our corner sofa to be in front of a window – now one arm is in front of the 176cm window, the other one in front of a wall. Next to it is the 113cm window. Basically, we planned a lot around the furniture and privacy protection, and I also simply didn’t know how it would look in the finished state. In a 3D simulation or on the floor plan it always looks good, but in reality, looking back, I probably would have put more windows in those spots. But even then, I don’t know if I would have liked that in the long run.
Demands also change; sometimes you want everything open, sometimes you want to sit unseen – I don’t think you can have it all, and sometimes you like your decisions better, sometimes worse.
But actually, for me it was the case that back then I didn’t think that much about the living room windows; I just placed them because I simply didn’t know better.

You didn’t get any help with the windows either or did you ignore the advice?

I’m not planning for any privacy screen right now. The idea is that, if necessary, there will be a privacy screen that can be installed.

Just find some old boxes and cut/glue them to the desired window size. Then you can stick this pattern in front of your existing windows (with tape) or place it to get a feel for the size. Your question about the photos can't be serious... You can't estimate the dimensions from a photo... It depends on the room height and the size of objects that might still be in the photo as reference points to assess the impact of the window size.

the window topic is really getting a bit annoying
I wouldn’t even start building with a BU who can’t advise you in that regard!
Normally, you also get a 3D model where you can see everything exactly
