Don’t worry, I feel the same way. My husband also gets frustrated sometimes because he makes a decision once and then sticks to it, while I constantly try to optimize under the influence of new factors. But that’s not a problem. I see the whole thing as a process that develops. If we had implemented everything exactly as originally planned, it definitely wouldn’t turn out as nice as it (hopefully) will now.

I wouldn’t worry about it either
My wife went to the kitchen builder 15 times in total. I stopped going after the 10th time.

A simple door or sliding door from the living room to the office would be too uncomfortable for me.
I would leave the passage open or build a wall unit with an integrated door.

I find 53sqm very much. We have 45 and that is already more than enough.

Thank you. Then maybe I'm not so abnormal after all. My husband also lets me do a lot. He says it doesn’t make sense to hold me back when I’m really going. I’m also the kind of person who would go to the kitchen builder 15 times.

I don’t think keeping the office completely open would be right for us. It should also be a bit of a retreat when needed. Maybe one could put a nice armchair in there for reading or something. Although I have seen that there are even stylish sofa beds only 1.2m wide. Somehow I’m thinking of adding something like that.

Do you think a double-winged 1.2m door can look good, or do people usually do double doors only when it’s a larger room? Or rather in a more formal room like a dining room?

A door is of course always sensible. I just find it uncomfortable to always have a door in the field of view when watching TV. A glass sliding door feels even harsher and less cozy. But that’s all a matter of taste. I would also rather ask one more time with such a project than do something wrong!

Thanks to you. The niche is 2.3 m long, since the office has this size. Pax sliding wardrobes are 2 m long, I believe. It’s of course never wrong to fall back on a Pax. Would you shorten the office to 2.10 m so that the Pax fits exactly, regarding the length?
Then the living room would be 20 cm longer and I could put in a larger seating area.
Is an office measuring 2.10 x 3.4 m okay or would you rather not take anything away from the office?

I think a double-leaf door with glass elements might feel cozier than a normal door. Then the office wouldn’t look so mysterious from the living room if you can guess what’s behind it. Maybe it would look less like a storage room if you can, for example, glimpse an armchair. Then it would be an office/reading room/room to store folders/photo albums/books.
