You would take a 70 cm niche for the classic Pax wardrobes with sliding doors. If you want to equip the niche with a pure sliding element (i.e., without a wardrobe carcass), of course you have more variability in depth. Then just take a hanger, measure it, and add some clearance on top. But I wouldn’t go under 60 cm.
Thanks to you. The niche is 2.3 m long, since the office has this size. Pax sliding wardrobes are 2 m long, I believe. It’s of course never wrong to fall back on a Pax. Would you shorten the office to 2.10 m so that the Pax fits exactly, regarding the length?
Then the living room would be 20 cm longer and I could put in a larger seating area.
Is an office measuring 2.10 x 3.4 m okay or would you rather not take anything away from the office?
I think a double-leaf door with glass elements might feel cozier than a normal door. Then the office wouldn’t look so mysterious from the living room if you can guess what’s behind it. Maybe it would look less like a storage room if you can, for example, glimpse an armchair. Then it would be an office/reading room/room to store folders/photo albums/books.
