We plastered our draft with sockets. The more sockets, the less trouble with the Q2/Q3 discussion.

But seriously, we basically thought about sockets and discussed it with the electrician. It only gets really serious once the shell construction is finished and we go through the building together with him to mark the sockets.

Whereby I would say, it generally cannot hurt to at least "furnish" the official plan accordingly at the important points according to the decisions made, provided there are still furniture included. Because sometimes someone wants to "think along" and then simply does

Giving a furnished room the socket/switch/TV/LAN positions is certainly good, but new furniture, new room assignments, simply rearranging requires a generous basic equipment of various connections in every room. The planned furniture of today is already arranged completely differently or replaced tomorrow.

In my experience, the average field, forest, and meadow electrician manages without a plan anyway or doesn’t even want one. In the shell construction phase, he runs through the house together with the client and scribbles all over the walls. For standard electrics, that’s enough. For [Smarthome], however, I would recommend proper planning.

We had a general preliminary discussion. Network, electricity, lights, KNX. From this, a preliminary plan and corresponding offer were created. Then, before getting down to the nitty-gritty, we went through the shell of the building and finalized the details. This was followed by a new offer and a new plan. Based on this, the cables were laid. Next comes the detailed specification sheet on what should be switched where and how. Advantage for us, we can later say "that was planned differently." Advantage for the electrician, he can say "that was not planned that way."

We have created an electrical plan for the electrician. Without furniture inside. But where an exact position of a switch or socket was important to us, we wrote measurements for it.
