What do others say about the topic of possibly too little light in the living room? Does anyone else share the concern of ? Maybe someone can assess that. I find the topic of windows so difficult and don't want to sit in the dark. The floor plan is on page 158.

And on page 851 you can post it again. Now finally sign the damn start of construction, otherwise we'll still be sitting here stupidly at Christmas and talking about the same thing again. Some of your thoughts are probably undead, jumping out of the coffin like a jack-in-the-box every night at the witching hour until someone stakes them. Your general contractor will soon admit himself to the loony bin, this has long shown pathological traits. The noise in the construction areas would be unbearable if all the builders’ wives who had to move into "only" 99% perfect houses were lying awake screaming in pain.

you have to decide that for yourself and everyone here would do it differently. Of course, I would make more windows, or turn your 1m windows in the living room into 2m elements, you can also see better outside from the dining table. In front of them, then venetian blinds (which also take a lot of light if you tilt them slightly) and nobody can look inside.

Best regards Sabine

I always find it a pity to have to somehow "close off" windows with blinds etc., just so no one can look inside. It always feels like being in prison. I think the only reason for the TE to have the 1m elements is that they don't want a huge glass wall behind them. Well, if that's the deciding factor, then of course you have to live with it. Personally, I also find it nicer not to sit in front of glass, but everyone has their own taste.

Yes, it's just difficult to assess. I have been to model homes. But they always overdo it with windows there. We don't like having windows behind us. Could it objectively be too dark, what we have planned? In the meantime, we had considered making the patio doors a 3m element, but since I want a 3.6m couch, part of the 3m element would be blocked by the sofa, and I didn't want it to look like it was poorly planned or because of a wrong sofa choice.
