I already like Kaho's suggestion. However, I can no longer imagine the staircase. You go up and immediately have a ceiling above you that gets closer and closer? Isn't that confining? Upstairs, the hallway only has light through a window above the garage at the staircase. What about the window? Is the light still enough to keep the hallway bright enough?

I don't understand the thing with the stairs. We have a landing staircase. Therefore, the children's bathroom is also smaller.

Where is the bottleneck?
Above the stairs, it is open up to the ceiling of the upper floor. So lots of space. That’s always the case when there is no staircase above. The light should be about the same as in the current design or even more. At the moment, you have a wall in front of half the window on the upper floor. Did you notice that?

Here, I painted in a few windows for you:

Here’s also a view down the stairs, although the illustration shows a landing staircase, because my program can’t do the other one. The window and door frames all have a terrible color, etc., but maybe it helps to get an idea?

Now one could consider making the window floor-to-ceiling so that it is bigger and nicer. Then the ones next to it should also be floor-to-ceiling for the look, which wouldn’t be a problem.

Unfortunately, I can't follow you or I'm at a loss. Or did you make a mistake? I can't make the parent bathroom as big as you did because the stairs get in the way. It can't be the way you drew it, can it? Could you please help me understand it again.
