Hello construction expert, stupid question: How do I attach a file here? I can only insert links, insert images, and insert quotes...

Hello Kay,

First of all: Congratulations to the architect(s)! This is an all-around successful plan; don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I love the bathroom in the attic; I appreciate a spacious bathroom.

The only detail you have to consider in your plans: there will be no shutters possible in the guest rooms and kitchen.

I have now calculated according to medium standard and with an air-water heat pump as a KfW 70 efficiency house. I come to around EUR 320,000 for the base slab plus the usual suspects like floor coverings, painting, incidental construction costs, outdoor facilities, and reserves extras.

Rhineland regards

Hello construction expert,
Thank you for the estimate. That really shows how much it can vary...
So the estimate from our architect is significantly lower, okay, we are also doing some things ourselves.
We have stumbled over costs in some places,
but he showed us offers and invoiced projects from him at these prices. Let's hope everything works out like that...

The note about the roller shutters is justified, maybe we will think about it again. Otherwise, we have a good feeling about the planning.
Our way of life is well reflected. One thing we have always seen in model houses is that either only the bedroom had the dressing room or the bathroom was connected. You always have to go back through the hallway. We definitely did not want that...

Thanks again for your efforts

Hello Kay,

gladly. Where does your architect stand with his cost estimate and what are you taking care of in EL?
