New KfW conditions from 04/2016

I asked the question to KfW a few weeks ago and received the following information:

Dear Mr. xxx,

thank you for your inquiry.

As of January 1, 2016, the higher energy requirements for new buildings according to the [Energieeinsparverordnung] come into effect. The funding standard KfW Efficiency House 70 therefore corresponds almost to the legal requirements of the [Energieeinsparverordnung].

For this reason, we will discontinue funding for the KfW Efficiency House 70 as of March 31, 2016 (date of application receipt) and will focus it more on new buildings with higher energy requirements.

Since the reference building regarding the equipment described in the [Energieeinsparverordnung] does not change, the KfW Efficiency House standards also do not change because they always refer to the reference building.

This means that a building which is built today according to the KfW Efficiency House 55 standard will still meet the requirements of an Efficiency House 55 after 2016.

It is also correct that from April 1, 2016, a KfW Efficiency House 55 is only energetically 20% better than a conventional new building.

: The tightened Energy Saving Ordinance comes into effect on 01.01.2016, but the KfW changes its programs on 01.04.2016. I was told that the time of approval of the construction project is decisive for the application of the Energy Saving Ordinance. However, if you build a KfW55 house this year and speculate on higher funding, you can already submit the application to KfW this year and then submit an application for an increase in funding next year.

so one could quite well submit the building application etc. (significantly) before 1.4.16 and start construction, to then say from 1.5. "oh, I would like 100k instead of 50k"??? I can't really imagine that...

This was the statement from the KfW a few weeks ago. However, the caseworker also said that this regulation could still change.
Unfortunately, I cannot say exactly what the timing relationship (building application / increase in funding) must be.

No - the clock starts as soon as you have fully submitted the building application to the approving authority. Rhineland greetings

Hi everyone,

I am new to the field of "house building" or having a house built, and we are currently in the phase where our financing application is being reviewed.

It is supposed to be a Kfw 70 house. Will anything change for us from 2016 onwards, or will our KfW 153 loan simply proceed as I currently assume (before I came across this post)? Completion will be around April 2016.

Is it possibly to change the term from 10 to 20 years then?
