Meal time.

So I think the integrated garage and its ceiling as a small terrace is okay. But you should not make the door to the garage from the party room but from the hallway (maybe leave out the 2nd door in the middle). It would be stupid if you are just having a party and a tipsy guest confuses the door and suddenly stumbles over your car with a bottle in hand. Not to mention that you would constantly have to walk through the party room if you want to get to the car.

In the attic, the left room is still narrow (just under 3m, if I see that correctly), but long (over 5m). A possible solution would be to move the outer wall all the way outwards like in the master bedroom (the ceiling above the terrace would then of course have to be supported, but that does not look bad at all and would definitely be doable). Additionally, you could move the wall to the master bedroom a little so that both rooms get more space, but the awkward wall goes away.

Best regards

Thank you for the suggestions. I will change the door to the garage. I have also already considered moving the outer wall of the children's room in the attic outward. I need to talk to my architect to see if that is possible. I will probably move the bathroom wall toward the dressing room and the dressing room wall toward the bedroom. The bedroom does not need to be that large since I have a dressing room.

I don't know if it makes sense, but the front door could possibly be opened in the other direction. Advantage: You come directly into the cloakroom. Disadvantage: On the right, you stand in front of a wall – to the left, towards the stairs, it would feel more open. Especially when you are with several people (kids), the first ones are already undressing while the last ones are still outside – in other words, the door is open, but there is no place to put the stuff down.

I like the latest version. However, I would plan windows on the terrace side in the living area (so facing west), then you will also have some sun there in the evening. You can omit the dining area in the kitchen due to the adjacent table. Perhaps the kitchen could then be in a U-shape (opening downwards), with the left part not extending to the wall to allow passage to the living room, but instead forming a kind of counter. It might also be possible to enlarge the bathroom on the upper floor by reducing (or omitting) the dressing room.

May I ask within what price range your project falls?

Thank you for the plentiful suggestions. I think the idea with the front door is a good one. I hadn’t considered that before. I still need to have the price range calculated. It will be between 250,000 and 300,000. A plot of land is already available. I must say that I am building in the countryside. Prices there are somewhat cheaper than in the city.
