Thank you all.

Since users have already written here whose assessment I appreciate based on their other posts, the decision was made quickly.

No purchase.

My original consideration to have a soil survey done at my own expense has also been resolved by the clear feedback.

Perhaps this thread will still help future prospective buyers in their decision-making.

Therefore, feel free to reply further, but without taking up too much of your time.

Good decision. In BW you might get the house on a flat plot for that. A slope does not allow a standard. The earthworks and retaining structures would probably have already reached six figures.

Even though the original poster has already (in my opinion rightly) made their decision, I would like to emphasize it again for the readers who might stumble upon this here sometime: such a property is (only) good if you can at least accept it (or better: “fall in love” with it), and if you build “without counting every penny.” Anyone who would take such a property “out of desperation” would indeed learn the hard way what that entails. Not that anyone should now think that a steep slope is always “bad” with only one exception ( ) – therefore, it should also be mentioned that here, in the form of , there is a second steep slope builder with a broadly (but not entirely unclouded) happy ending.
