Steep slope property, please provide an assessment

I would not buy the property either.

Good decision. In BW you might get the house on a flat plot for that. A slope does not allow a standard. The earthworks and retaining structures would probably have already reached six figures.

If it is not your dream property, definitely leave it. Ours was precisely our dream property

Even though the original poster has already (in my opinion rightly) made their decision, I would like to emphasize it again for the readers who might stumble upon this here sometime: such a property is (only) good if you can at least accept it (or better: “fall in love” with it), and if you build “without counting every penny.” Anyone who would take such a property “out of desperation” would indeed learn the hard way what that entails. Not that anyone should now think that a steep slope is always “bad” with only one exception ( ) – therefore, it should also be mentioned that here, in the form of , there is a second steep slope builder with a broadly (but not entirely unclouded) happy ending.

This is not necessarily my dream property. However, after now three years of searching, I have given up on that.
