Hello dear forum,
after having my first conversation with the project coordinator, I know a bit more about my options:
- everything is still variable and adjustable, except for the service shaft.
Laying extra lines and moving the kitchen is not exactly cheap though.
- At the moment I tend to keep the floor plan as it is (for cost reasons. My additional budget is limited. I’m afraid the kitchen will still swallow quite a big chunk extra).
- I copied a plan and cut furniture to scale. I have an idea how I can better structure the open space. The idea is to place a "wall" in the middle of the left wall on the plan to serve as a niche for the sofa (or, if not liked, as a niche for furniture placement). The niche can also be furnished on the side facing down on the plan.
- at the entrance, I shifted the passage from the hallway to the room a bit so that a small piece of furniture can still fit at the little corner between hallway and room at the bottom left of the plan, and a few jackets can still be hung in the hallway.
- the kitchen drawn in is realistic: a row with three tall cabinets (oven, fridge, dishwasher) and a workspace for the cooking area (altogether about 150 cm cooking and working surface. The kitchen island is approx. 90x190 cm).
The open space is 580 x 598 cm and must be functional for 1 to 2 adults.
I’m looking forward to any feedback. Maybe something else will come up? I’m still a bit clueless about my open space.
