Nowadays, all windows in a new building are custom-made, and extra sizes or triangles are not significantly more expensive. We also have a special window with a corner, and we didn't pay a penny extra :D

Regarding the design, I just want to say that I don't like it. Entrance area too narrow. Kitchen entrance too far from the entrance, and the toilets remind me of the old apartments in Hamburg, where shower bathrooms were installed in a one-meter-wide storage room (severe lack of space: putting the toilet sideways). Wastewater pipes should be stacked so that the toilet waste can flow properly... the one meter through the guest WC wouldn't affect the connections, but the location of the upstairs bathroom...

Ah – well then the windows up there don’t cost any more. I didn’t know that.

Bathrooms stacked. OK – then the storage room would have to swap places with the office and shower bathroom. On the other hand, I don’t see a problem (except slightly higher costs) installing a second set of plumbing lines. The space problem in the ground floor hallway can be easily solved – if the original poster can imagine converting the shower bathroom into a normal guest toilet. The toilet would then fit on the back wall. Then simply add 50 cm from the guest toilet and the office to the hallway – problem solved. :o

@f-pNo: His architect said that the rooms cannot be swapped  I just generalized a bit ;)

And he had a normal guest WC without a shower in the first plan - but there was no study room then... instead there was the wash niche on the upper floor, which I really liked. Positioned in front of the bathroom, it also had a good spot.

Why did you actually put the roof over the short side and not the gables?
The room on the left seems much smaller than 1 sqm to me.

Hm - those who can read clearly have an advantage. ;) Well, it was a long day.

I probably should have read through the entire thread again completely. I had only dealt with the latest draft again.

I think you are wasting a lot of space. For example, I would keep the bathroom and toilet separate upstairs and plan for a much larger shower in the bathroom. Besides that, in my opinion, you are simply wasting an extreme amount of space, for example, the two ballrooms you call children's rooms – they are at least 7-8 sqm too large. You also have enough space in the bedroom between the bed and the wardrobe to practice the Viennese waltz; with the space saved from the children's room and bedroom, I would rather plan a walk-in closet or dressing room. The mini kitchen island is also far from optimal. Consider making it a double-line layout – that could be much more practical. With that small cooking thing, you have no space on the left and right to work, but the constant risk that someone’s sleeve or sweater will catch on the pan handle and pull the hot thing down... To be honest, I would go over the draft again and radically change it...

We had seen a similar setup in a model house. We liked it quite a bit. But I’m still not completely satisfied with it. Instead of the patio door, I’m thinking of installing a long window with an appropriate countertop in front of it. When chopping ingredients for meals, I really need light! The sink also makes good sense by the window... Yes... the kitchen is still a work in progress.
