We are not talking about 1000sqm here. You get through that quickly and can manage with all battery models without much noise and cables. Otherwise, the point applies that the type of grass determines the effort. Not only when mowing but also regarding irrigation, fertilization, etc.

You surely have a soil report. That should also say something about infiltration. Although you can also recognize waterlogging and a lot of mud on the construction site without it ;)

You can generate a market niche out of anything.

Then sow.

but doesn't a robotic lawn mower improve the lawn quality through constant mulching?

Which type of grass would you recommend to me? A sports lawn? Robotic lawn mower lawn?

When you mow the lawn and compost (or otherwise dispose of) the clippings, you are removing nutrients from the soil. At the same time, frequent cuts stimulate growth. Mulching can help prevent this somewhat, but there are also mulching lawn mowers (higher speed and no collection basket). With that, you achieve the same effect. The robot can do this a bit better because it can run every day while you manually go over it once a week.

With turf you are definitely much faster and have less work in the first weeks. As soon as there is a slope involved, I would definitely choose turf. Robotic mowers are great. Always change the blades early enough. It is usually done too late and then the lawn has white tips. "Oversize" the robotic mower. The area specifications are for 7 days, 24-hour operation on a square property. Choose one with significantly more area capacity. That way it only has to mow a few hours a day. You still have to fertilize and water. Due to mulching by the robotic mower, less fertilizer is needed. I would also install an automatic irrigation system right away. It won’t get easier than with a new installation.

Thanks, so it was already right of me to rely on a robotic mower.

We have a rectangular garden 10m wide and 20m deep. Along the edges by the fence, we want to plant flowers and border them with mowing stones.

Our garden will (hopefully) be flat and have no slope.

What would the automatic irrigation look like? Do you mean the Gardena system?

No, definitely not Gardena. Sprinklers from Hunter or Rainbird. Pipe PE HD (drinking water pipe). Gardena is totally overpriced for irrigation and the quality is not that good. You can use the control system from Gardena. Better is Hunter Hydrawise. Yes, a robotic mower is great. I have two (Husqvarna 415X and 435 awd). Very practical since it always looks neat even if you are away for a few days.
