Metod is not higher but lower.....Metod has an 80cm high cabinet but only an 8cm plinth, meaning you would only notice the difference at the plinth, similar to Udden.

If you look at the French or English Ikea site, you see the kitchen promotions, also in Austria...why should everyone else still have offers until the very end except Germany, I am optimistic.

Especially the stove would be suitable for Metod. The Udden stove is way too expensive, considering it can do nothing except top/bottom heat. I would rather buy a used freestanding stove for 50 euros and then, if it fits, get a decent oven in the Metod cabinet, because you have a proper drawer or even two underneath.
Especially for taller people, Metod makes things much more comfortable.

If you don't live too far from Strasbourg, take a trip there in February/March, Strasbourg is a very beautiful city and on that occasion, check out the Metod kitchen. I will do that too, as I still need quite a bit for my kitchen. And if Metod unexpectedly doesn't appeal to me, I will stock up on Faktum at the end.

Best regards

Ah ok, thanks, then I read that incorrectly. I thought there would be steps at the top. I will then join the optimism and wait a bit longer. France would be about 4 hours... hmm, we'll see. I'm not the best cook, so the kitchen doesn't have to do much. But the Udden stove would be too simple even for me. Maybe I'll really buy a few fronts in stock. I have a friend in Innsbruck... but I can't send her to buy a kitchen. Best regards Swede

Where do you live? Other countries get Metod before Germany. If UDDEN is only supposed to be a temporary solution until METOD, then the cheaper FYNDIG would also be sufficient. You can also fit built-in appliances into METOD. The ovens still have the usual 60 cm x 60 cm. IKEA’s electrical appliances are already designed for METOD.

Hello, I live in Bavaria (near Munich).

Nearby, probably no one will get it earlier. I hadn't even considered Fyndig, thanks for the tip.

Salzburg is not that far from Munich. If I remember correctly, METOD is available in Austria from April.

oh the Austrians [Ösis] will also get them in April….yes that would be doable. But what happens if something is broken right away or if a warranty case arises later? Where do you have to make a complaint then? Of course, I don’t want to constantly travel to Salzburg
