Ikea seems to work well. Annoying for us are all the downpipes with a circumference of 20 cm. We have 3 of them. what is the sill height of your windows? We have a sill height of 87.5 cm in the utility room, as everywhere in the house. For a washing machine under the window, it's too tight for us, right? The architect did mark it like that in the floor plan, but washing machines are about 85 cm high. Do washing machines on the base slab actually have to be connected on exterior walls? It would be important for my planning to know. I find our utility room really hard to plan.

We looked at and calculated Schüller. Firstly, it wasn’t really cheap and we didn’t really like it either. Now we are having it done by the carpenter. The simple version would have cost about the same as Schüller. We made a few "upgrades". Because of this, it is now more expensive but individual and exactly fitting. I find Schüller overpriced for what is offered. Then better to go to IKEA.

Yes, we have the same problem. The washing machine definitely has to be in front of the window, but whether there is still enough room for my desired countertop above, I don’t know. I measured mine; it is 84 cm high. Maybe you can remove the lid on top of the washing machine and encase it, but I’m not entirely sure. I assume that the whole thing will protrude somewhat into the windowsill, that’s just how it is. As long as the window can still open, I can live with it. The window height is something I underestimated / neglected throughout our entire new build. It hits me in various rooms that our windows are so low. That was one of the things you can’t really tell well from the plans as a layperson. I had assumed something like that would simply be standardized. Wouldn’t happen to me a second time in my own house. Luckily we only have one downspout there (about 20cm built in, like yours), but a second one ended up unplanned in the storage room. And I can’t use it there at all. I only have about 2.5 m² there anyway, and the furnishing was precisely planned. Now I can forget that. Best regards Kati

Why does the washing machine have to be in front of the window? Is there no other way? Really annoying with the pipe in the storage room. I actually like a low sill height at the windows. But currently impractical in the utility room.
