However, a verifiable interim invoice is required for this. The services must be proven by a statement that enables a quick and reliable assessment of the services. Building Code § 632a. The payment would then be due immediately (of course, the electrician can offer a longer payment period).

I assume that VOB/B has not been effectively agreed upon here. If it were, payment would be due 21 working days after receipt of the verifiable interim invoice.

Be that as it may. What matters is that the electrician does everything correctly on the construction site professionally. Priority should be given to this.

Some of you I don’t want as customers. Seriously, are you kidding? Complaining about a 1500,- discount when 3 were agreed upon? Coming with the Building Code, VOB, the European Human Rights Commission, and the Hague Regulations on Land Warfare... pay for what was ordered, and that’s it. These are master craftsmen, three-grade village school, apprenticeship, master course... not university, law; if they had wanted to write, they would have become writers, not construction workers. This could already be fulfilled by a very general formulation. Because the service is basically straightforward. If the electrician has a contract for 100 sockets and issues an interim payment of 50% when it is obvious that 30 sockets have been installed and the remaining 70 are on the construction site, usually no detailed breakdown in the interim invoice is required; a formulation like "interim payment according to construction progress" or the like is sufficient. Otherwise, the good man would just be sitting in the office all the time.

As long as the services are reasonably comprehensible (and sometimes a glance at the offer and the construction progress is enough), one naturally pays. That is no question. However, if obvious discrepancies exist, explanations or a brief description of the services rendered are a justified demand. By the way, even an electrician can manage this well by copy/pasting from the written offer. We are not talking about unskilled construction helpers here, but about master craftsmen who usually have received a proper education.

I have simply paid the partial payment now, in the end I just want everything to be done as quickly as possible and to have nothing more to do with some people.

Yes, we have. If you want more detailed information about this, feel free to contact me via PM.

Thank you very much. We built with the same company, so the invoice including the text from the electrician looked so familiar to me. We have been living in the house for a few months now. Best regards
