What was offered to you? Has anyone approached you, buy 60 cans more directly? :)

At Helma, the seller said during the conversation that he offers a flat rate of 50 additional sockets, since the included ones are never sufficient. We did not learn the unit price because of this - but we found it fairer this way than risking problems during construction. With the general contractor we built with, there was exactly that... although the construction service description initially included considerably more, the flush-mounted sockets and cross-switches etc. were unpleasantly expensive (compared to what we had read online). The general contractor then spoke some sense into the craftsman and we reached an agreement - but these are stressful moments that you can avoid.

We determined the requirement ourselves before signing and then had it included in the contract. The additional cost was reasonable.

After signing, changes often become significantly more expensive. The contract is already signed, and the company no longer has to compete for you.

Phew, how do you determine the demand? Sure, more cans will probably be needed than provided for in the standard, but I couldn't say off the top of my head whether 10 more cans or 50?

Quite simple. Take the floor plan and wherever you think a socket is needed, one is planned.

How much more always depends on the basis. Plan, mark sockets, light outlets and switches, add them up, calculate 10% extra and then it should be approximately right :) Our electrician has NOT charged extra for additional sockets “as long as it stays within limits“. Of course, that can only happen if you choose a quality electrician and not necessarily the cheapest one.
