Such a situation calls for a second device.

I have such a motorized bracket. It's quite practical. Nevertheless, we have arranged our sofa as in the first draft so that it blocks one of the terrace doors. From the outside, this is not visible during the day since there are curtains, and at dusk the shutters go down, so you can't see it then either.

So I might just leave the cables etc. as they are now. Especially the view between two other light sources, I would find disturbing.

Of the time I spend awake in the house, the television does not receive 10% attention. Furthermore, it is not a working device. Accordingly, the device receives a low priority in room design. For no television in the world would I block a window with a sofa directly and make compromises in the comfort of the room. Now, everyone is different...

The view from outside wouldn't bother me now. But I always find it a pity when such large windows are planned and then you can't look outside. However, most floor plans have that problem. We had the sofa placed perpendicular to the window, but I don't know if that would fit in this floor plan here.

So we slept on it one more night. Neither of us are really TV addicts, and in the end, of course, the house shouldn’t be built around the television. From my side, I wouldn’t have had a problem with the original version, but I can understand my wife as well. Freestanding doors do look better in the overall appearance. I know a flat screen doesn’t really belong in a corner, but the following version would also be acceptable to me. As I said, following the golden rules of technology is not as important to us as the house as a whole package. And with this version, one should be able to watch a movie comfortably. Let’s see how long we stick with this version now.

If curtains are to be placed next to the door, then the TV will not be very large.
