But then there would only be about 3 meters from the wall behind the TV to the sofa, so it wouldn't be too tight by the dining table.
It felt a bit cramped to us.
We definitely spend more time on the sofa than at the dining table.
That's why we thought it would be better to make the sofa more comfortable.
When children are around, that will change again, but for now?

Then prepare the TV and network connections and the lights for the dining table at 2 points. This way you are free in the design.

Yes, swapping the living and dining rooms is not that easy either. In the first draft, you had the living room exactly there. It doesn’t quite fit with the TV, etc., and coming in first to the living room, then to the dining room – you have to like that – at least when you have guests. Your priorities will definitely change with kids, so I hope you planned the electrical work in such a way that you still have alternatives and can simply rearrange anytime. And the window for the child on the north side is probably just due to the exterior view. For the children's room, I would actually have added (additionally?) a west-facing window like in the other one.

We did that too, we also planned enough sockets there and we have provided 2 network and TV sockets.

Yes, that's true, we were also going back and forth. However, with 2 windows there it would be more difficult to place a proper wardrobe. Only a window in the west would not look as nice from the outside (and from the entrance view).

If you consider that the west window should be about 70 cm away from the partition wall to the other children's room and the entrance door to the children's room as well, then there are no difficulties in placing enough wardrobe and storage space.

Without flipping back, I can say what you were advised against last year, what was recommended to you, and what you accepted from others.
