The different heights of the passages are intentional?

Yes, exactly. That’s how we had imagined it.

For the upper floor, we are not yet sure. At the top, we could imagine that a stainless steel railing is okay. However, a wall would of course also be possible here. I tend more towards a wall, my wife rather towards stainless steel. Downstairs we already agree that a stainless steel railing does not fit.

No, absolutely not. It hadn’t occurred to me before either that the height in the visualization does not fit. It is even clearer here in the attachment. On Friday, during the execution planning, I already spoke with the architect about the inconsistent doors – however, referring to the width. I believe, however, that there is an error in the visualization, because the floor plan always refers to a height of 2.13m. Both doors are now to be widened to 1.01m. Furthermore, a corresponding standardization on the ground floor is being examined. Also, a further increase due to the ceiling height is being examined.

Attached also once again the ground floor plan.

I’m more of a plain country house style fan. There are such beautiful side panels made of wood for the stairs. I wouldn’t even know which one to choose first. But that’s probably not your style.

However, I also find glass completely inappropriate here. I can’t get excited about stainless steel anymore either. It’s literally cold. Besides, you always see fingerprints on it, which always looks messy.

Above all, I would make sure that the stairs + wall match the doors. Have you already chosen them?

If a wall is placed in front of the stairs, one could also consider a door to the basement.

No wall, more likely a masonry parapet.

Isn't it the case that one knows a staircase looks different from the side than when viewed from the start/end, as is very often usual?
The view is somehow already fixed in the mind!?
One consciously embraces that.

So I am surprised that the execution is not fixed.

I actually thought all these months that you knew what you were getting with this view.

Stainless steel rungs look different from a top view than lengthwise. A wall panel appears bulky from the top view.
A glass pane reflects.
I would probably masonry all parapets.
That would have been decided in advance for me.

I suspect that after the removal of the transom window, the frame height was not adjusted.

I feel the same way.

I guess we have different images in our minds (?)
