I would find that totally uncomfortable. As if you were on a level of the underground garage, instead of in the living space. Such an open cellar access is also a question of heating costs. Or did I misunderstand the "crap-"?

I’m with Yvonne. When you come in and see the rungs right in front of you, it looks like the entrance to the prison yard.

The doors will be from Herholz. Model Atrium 21 or Signum. We find a door to the basement impractical.

No, over the months we have mentally played through quite a few options. Full glazing, stainless steel grid with glass / without glass, various types of stairs as well. In the end, the stainless steel railing was actually fixed for a long time. The lighting planner brought us the new idea with the wall. And we find it even better than the stainless steel railing. The architect also indicated on Friday that he prefers this idea over the railing. So I have introduced it here. So far no one has shown this option and we have not come across it in any show home.

What now, no door to the basement at all? I mean, not at all? What about heating costs?
I can't remember the basement plans anymore. Were they already finished?

There has never been any talk of a door to the basement. And we do not imagine it to be nice either.

In the basement, there are two heated rooms.

We know many houses of older and newer construction. Never (!) have I seen any of them having a door to the basement.

Really? I know a lot of old houses, they all have a door to the cellar. Actually, I only know houses where the cellar has a door and that’s not just like 2 or so. So you heat the cellar, ground floor, and upper floor. With that area, that’s quite something.
