At the lawyer's, roughly what I expected came out. He doubts the issue of patio doors both contractually and in terms of planning (planning error).

The piping in the open area of the house is acceptable, as it is visible in the plans.

Regarding sealing, etc., we discussed waiting to see how the opposing party responds.

No. The lawyer's assessment is one thing. What comes out of it is another. It was simply a step in a long process, but none that brings relief.
