Hi, €4,000 for 2 flights of stairs seems too low to me. Especially if you like the folded plate stair in 2.jpg, I would roughly estimate around €13,000 to €15,000 for both. The type of staircase is not an ordinary 0815 developer stringer staircase anymore, but a bit more expensive - at least that's my experience with us.

Cost estimate for staircase from KG to OG: €14,000
Concrete offer for a flat steel stringer staircase with parquet flooring and landing, no risers: €13,500 with discount and cash discount.

The folded plate staircase would have been expensive. Just for orientation.

That's exactly how I would do it: always use the covering for the stairs that continues from the hallway of the floor at its upper end. So the tiles of the entrance area for the stairs down to the basement, and the flooring of the upper floor also for the stairs from the ground floor to the upper floor.

I need to clarify something. The concrete staircase without covering is included in the house price. The 4,000 euros are a calculated value representing the staircase covering, which must be provided by the builder.

11ant: the covering on the upper floor is parquet. I wouldn't see parquet on the staircase. But I think your statement was meant in a broader sense (parquet = wood).

Wood covering on concrete stairs we think is great. It has also been glued down solidly...

Wow, that looks great!

How much did the stair covering cost you?

What kind of companies do you contact for such a staircase?

An alternative would be a pure folded plate staircase - which is probably easier than using concrete underneath.

In your case, you also look at the staircase from the side. And your staircase is in the entrance area. A bench would be nice there.

1.
Here (for searching) a really (!) nice idea for
FWT + glass + bench + basement stairs.
google: SMG Treppen Holztreppe HOT 2200

2.
We had it done a bit differently than FWT on concrete steps by a local joinery (unfortunately expensive; not yet final in the picture, glass wall on bracket will also be added):

More under #6 here.

The wood is a nice contrast to the tiles in the house.
