No idea if that's normal or not. They just told me that it would be covered with drywall and that's it. I can't find anything different in the contract.

Whether I do it myself or hire someone doesn't really matter for now. I just wanted to discuss a suitable solution first. Glass wool is being considered. Now masonry mortar / Styrodur is an option. Before I do it myself, I’d rather have a professional company carry it out.

I've definitely lived in about five different newer apartments and only know surface-mounted heating distributors.

So depending on where the distribution box is located, it is not very aesthetic to have it surface-mounted.... you usually hide it in the wall....

Except in the technical room, there I wouldn't care....

But maybe it’s another north-south thing? In the north they also use wallpaper, in the south rather plaster.

We were asked where we wanted it, but not how exactly it should look, didn’t even know that surface-mounted versions exist in new buildings

At our place, all the holes were filled with mortar by the shell builder..... order him here, it can’t be that he won’t come back for that!

Do the manifolds actually rust quickly and also the interior of the HKV? Our roofer is not coming until next week and water got in again last night. Fortunately, not as much anymore..... through the flat roof in the kitchen..... The screed will be laid tomorrow.

Just by the way: I think it's great how you're fighting your way through the construction here. To be honest, you are actually the perfect prefab house customer. The company comes, puts the finished house down, here’s the key. The selection is just unfortunately limited. So you decided on a general contractor with quite a few ups and downs.

But I have the feeling that it’s really going to turn out well now. I would like to look at the property from the outside again sometime. If you happen to have the camera with you... that would be great.

Let's put it this way. Considering my (non-existent expertise), the time investment, etc., it definitely fits. The only thing that might not be 100% suitable for the general contractor is the desire for a lot of individuality. I would have simply liked more guidance regarding different options:
- Windows / doors
- Design of the ventilation system (e.g., wall, floor, or ceiling outlets)
- The suggestion to involve an interior designer from the start, who plans the interior design as a whole; because everything is interconnected; lighting, drywall, etc. - we now want stucco moldings, but that doesn’t fit with the ceiling outlets; we didn’t see this at the beginning

But overall, I still believe that the disadvantages of individual tenders would have been greater than the advantages and I would probably have been overwhelmed by it. With the right people certainly not, but finding the right partner for something like this is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I think so too. The new patio doors are coming soon, and then things will move quickly. Here’s a photo from outside.

Is that so? For me, wallpaper belongs in the attic like rotary dials, manual transmissions, or crank windows. Having wallpaper and a sectional door in the same house would feel like a crazy style mix.
