Both are structurally sound, I have compared them side by side: above is the previous design, below the latest one, with the spot circled in red where I recommended narrowing both "small" windows by 12.5 cm so as not to press the window against the wall for child 2

Both are feasible. Obviously.

Functionally, the first one would probably be preferred, visually from the outside the second. I’m more inclined towards the first.

However, the question is whether it wouldn’t also be possible to plan the same window in Child 1 and the children's bathroom and then have just one quite wide, large window centered between these two windows in Child 2. Wouldn’t that also be an alternative that involves fewer compromises? Given the compromises already present, I don’t really see much sense in the large + small window in Child 2.

You can put a post between Child 2 and the bathroom instead of a wall. The exterior view/symmetry is also not entirely insignificant. I wouldn't be bothered at all by the window directly on the wall; both children's rooms will be super bright with these window areas.

That’s why the new idea with two identical side windows and one large centered window.

We already had that, I was against it: it was wider than the room is deep and distorted the room proportions.

Sounds almost as if you were moving in. I wonder anyway, are you planning the house? Or will it be Hotzenplotz's? Somehow everything is a bit strange... But hey, maybe it will work out with the 1,000 posts about a house before the building application is submitted.
