Example: Our first shell builder is out, he has shone with half a year of inactivity and delayed wherever he could – and on top of that arrogant and conceited. The problem is always the others. Anyway, termination agreement offered, he wanted to have it, but dictated to us that he still wants a high 4-figure amount, if we do not agree, he would delay the construction with addendum after addendum. With a big grudge, we agree. One might think, “write it off and forget about it.” Not so with that a**hole. He actually calls our new shell builder on his own to badmouth us and our architect and to warn him. Really bad kind of person – just a detached project manager in a larger construction company. Only stupid that our new shell builder has already worked several times with our architectural firm and there were never any problems, quite the opposite. But how abysmally nasty must the character be to act like that? Our new shell builder, on the other hand, is a stroke of luck. A family-run craft business without a big bureaucracy, who just want to live their craft and build. They have already advanced more in fourteen days than the predecessor in 6 months! Incredible... Good luck getting your general contractor back under control. But I also agree with , your Mr. Neighbor could be a bit more relaxed. The faux pas will be corrected and it’s fine. The problem is not that something goes wrong, but how you deal with it. And here you have already shown the will to fix (have fixed) the mishap. Some people just don’t need to be understood...
