Between a patio door of 2.01m and 1.99m there is no significant difference. Why couldn’t you plan the door higher, are the ceilings not that high?

The door could have been planned higher. However, this was not noticed by us in the execution planning and was not suggested by the architect. The expert cannot understand that, given my height, I am being sold such a door and not even a larger door is suggested. 2.01m is 2.01m and 1.99m is 1.99. The base deviation is as well.

There are already some things, the base waterproofing is probably the most serious. The canopy? That should be clarified, that would be very strange indeed. The back wall, here the question arises for me: can you see it with the naked eye? If not, then I would rather not let them touch it.

The patio doors, okay that they are now even only 1.99m is also annoying again. Regarding the step, however, I wonder, it should normally refer to the finished floor, right? It is now about 25cm, can you only have 5cm of floor build-up there? Whether they should have offered you the doors higher, that would probably have to be decided by a judge. Incidentally, you would probably also have to prove that it was never offered that way.

Let's hope they manage to turn it all around for the better somehow.

The canopy is functionally not a problem. The only question would be whether it results in a discount. But I see that rather uncritically.

You currently can’t see the back wall with the naked eye. But the construction manager says that’s only because it’s unplastered. Once it’s plastered, it will be visible and then it will be bothersome. If that weren’t the case, he surely wouldn’t have mentioned it voluntarily, even if he noticed it.

As for the stair step, I see about 38 cm on the tape measure. Screed is 16 cm, I don’t know exactly about the parquet, it can’t be much. So we won’t reach 15 cm there.

It will turn out well. The only question is how long it will take and how many nerves it will cost. The expert doesn’t see it as that critical. He thinks we are in the right regarding the essential points and that legal fees can even be recovered.

In general, one can say that every single number that appears in the execution plans should be discussed with the architect. We had an execution plan meeting, I believe it lasted three or four hours. Everything was discussed there (every window height, parapet height, sealing of the base, execution of the balcony, the course of the individual pipes, bending of the pipes, etc.). I am very surprised that you suddenly have huge pipes in the kitchen and did not know about it beforehand; that must be drawn in the plans. Regarding the sockets, the electrician asked us very precisely where they should go, and we discussed the measurements and gave him a plan. Are you so rarely on the construction site? I was always called when I should come so that I could discuss everything with the craftsmen. I also always bothered them, wanted to know how it would be installed, etc. I think very frequent inspections and better a conversation in advance about the precisely planned execution of the trade are important. That is easier than if the execution later deviates from one's own ideas.

Best regards
