You know that I visited some architects. I had the impression that none of them were interested in single-family houses. Except for one, who was very motivated to take that on. But his own place, where we met, looked like a makeshift shack. Tiles were falling off everywhere, etc., and that didn’t seem to bother him. He didn’t inspire any trust at all. But now he’s out of the picture anyway.

I think you mentioned it once

Absolutely, the architect Titus Bernhard, known for very expensive villas, now wants to be involved in social housing according to a report in the Süddeutsche, aiming to make the otherwise so sparse houses more beautiful. The old business with the super expensive villas is supposed to make up only a small part of his activity in the future...

I love these star chefs. Building a house for a billionaire on a plot where you need binoculars standing in the middle to see the fence: you don't need an expert for that.

I agree.....my girlfriend has 230 sqm of living space, so I don't have to worry about things like the staircase....it just simply...big...

That was more fiddly with us....

Huge trouble with the house connection box. The utility company installed it on the left side wall, where the heating etc. are supposed to go. They argue that the marking "Hausanschlüsse" on the plan below, which is part of the contract with the utility company, does not apply to the house connection box. Well, what is the house connection box then, if not a house connection? They do not want to agree to a modification. I would have to pay the electrician about 400 € if he does it. And the fault is not mine.

Either it was installed incorrectly and the plan was unambiguous, or the architect made a mistake in the planning and should have explicitly drawn the house connection box with a cross or something like that. Can someone assess who is right and who is wrong here?

The plan was submitted to the utility company when a heat pump was still in the planning. Due to gas/solar, the right wall is now fully occupied. Nevertheless, the wall for the house connections is clearly sketched.

A gas pipe bends squarely off at the wall labeled "Hausanschlüsse," I would say. Behind the heat pump, a red cable comes in with a handover point recessed into the wall. Building the heat pump in front of it like that (clearances?!) and assuming that the electrician won't build a box around his meters seems unworthy of an execution plan to me. So even without re-planning the technology there, it wouldn't have fit better. But where is your problem in all this? - The appearance doesn't need to score points in the HAR. As long as the general contractor manages to get the whole mess into the room (and all components maintain their clearances), you couldn't care less about the detailed arrangement.
