Purely out of curiosity: why is cast-in-place concrete supposed to be faster and more resistant to rain, etc.? I guess I'm missing something...

They said that then construction could begin immediately after the earthworks. As I understand it, the delivery time for the precast parts is so long that nothing happens on the construction site after the earthworks are completed. And they don’t like that given the weather.

So then I can just approve it like that? They will plaster all the walls. The basement is to be constructed as a white tub. That’s not a problem either?

White tank or merely watertight concrete, called WU?

The recommendation of the soil expert was white tank. I was told that this agreement (WU concrete) covers that. Even during the contract review by an expert, this was considered okay. Until now, I had assumed that this was just another term for white tank. Unfortunately, there is nothing else in the contract text.

If your geologist recommended a white tank, there is more than the usual soil moisture on your property. Possibly pressurized water or a generally high groundwater level. Therefore, WU concrete alone is not enough, and your soil expert should have recommended a specific design of the white tank regarding sealing and crack width limitation (depending on water pressure) reinforced concrete.

Yes, we also need a light well for the basement window, which must be constructed to be watertight against pressure water.

The expert report does not explicitly refer to the "Weiße Wanne" but is formulated in this way (see attachment).

Nevertheless, there was always talk of us executing a "Weiße Wanne". I need to ask where the possible misunderstanding comes from.
