So unfortunately neither the painstakingly created bathroom planning nor the kitchen planning have been included in our factory plans ... we also thought that all of this would be taken into account, otherwise why would we have painstakingly finalized everything beforehand...

Had to check and adjust everything ourselves and be careful ....

But as far as I can see, the shell builder is working correctly according to plan. What kind of architect did you have that he doesn’t hide such pipes in the interior walls? I have rarely if ever seen something like that in new buildings.

What does he say about it?

He says that Poroton is not suitable for laying pipes in it. That would damage the building’s insulation. I wasn’t even allowed to center a flush-mounted mailbox with a depth of 10 cm to the left of the kitchen at the front door. The mailbox is now sitting all the way to the right in the wall bracket.

The problem with the pipes runs throughout the entire house. But even experts who were on site don’t seem to find it unusual that such pipes run right through the rooms. Perhaps the current energy saving regulations allow nothing else. I don’t know. However, I will clarify it once and for all this week.

Um, clear NO. Of course, you don’t put such pipes in exterior walls, at least not with a 36.5 cm stone and a diameter of 100.

Any normal architect plans this type of pipes behind showers or in thick interior walls, then they are energetically irrelevant since they are interior walls and additionally not visible because hidden.

It’s really not a big problem to lead the pipes away from the exterior wall and through the raw floor to the interior wall. From there, they continue to the basement. If you don’t have a basement, then the outlets must have already been set in the floor slab at the right place.

It is actually usually not a big problem, but eventually the path in the ceiling becomes too long, causing problems with the drainage.

I am more of the opinion that you can also overdo the energy saving ordinance craze... Of course, the insulation gets worse, the U-value of the wall higher if I lay a cable in there. So what? If I have a 100 mm cable, I need an approximately 15 cm wide slot. With a 3 m floor height on the ground floor, that would be about 0.45 m² of exterior wall where the insulation is weakened. With a U-value of 0.21 W/m²*K, this is then weakened by the reduction of the wall thickness to 0.36 W/m²*K. So a delta of 0.15 W/m²*K.

That would then be higher heat losses amounting to:

0.15 W/m²*K x 0.45 m² x 35 K (At -15° outside and 20° indoor temperature) = 2.3625 W.

Wow. A hamster probably has more radiated heat...
