Nobody will be able to answer that from a distance. In the industrial sector, there is moisture measurement and leakage detection using microwaves. With this, it is probably possible to examine large areas for their moisture distribution. The devices cost around 600-800 EUR, but you can also rent them. There is, for example, an orange-colored rental company for construction equipment that currently has lent all its power generators etc. to the police in the [Hambacher Forst]. Just check the news or google it. The rental costs 40 EUR per day, but for you it will already be worthwhile to create a large-scale picture of the moisture distribution. Maybe then you will finally find the source of the water.

It's always different spots where it comes in. First through the roof via the Halox boxes, now coming out of the water pipes... recently also through the garage roof and the garage wall... always something new, really.

And here we are discussing whether that is a good general contractor? I mean, a good general contractor's construction site doesn't look like that, does it? Individuality or not.

Oh dear.. not good at all. :-(

Is the storm with heavy rain passing over your place today (Sunday)?
If yes, then I would still try to arrange something with the [GU]. Otherwise, it doesn't look good.

A good [GU] is also available on Sundays.

So here in the region (vom Räuber) it has been raining nonstop since early this morning and according to the rain radar it is getting even heavier... But what are the Sundays supposed to do if no one knows where the water is coming from? And the water in the pictures is not enough for a pump.

Yesterday, I turned the green faucet next to the multi-branch connection. It had some play, and today, despite heavy rain, no more water came through, as I could see. There is a bucket underneath, and it contains only very little water. But we had the same situation in a milder form 2-3 weeks ago. It dripped slightly back then, and the faucet also had play. It's not used like that, and I wonder how it can be that it apparently opens itself step by step again and again.

Well, the fact that nothing new came through down there unfortunately does not mean that my visit just now after the heavy continuous rain was a positive one. We have had the problem in the past that water drips into the ground floor through Halox boxes. We have this again now – but this time at boxes that were previously not affected – there is no drip visible in the kitchen this time, so now – for the very first time! – there is a big puddle in the living room and also water in both corners of the office. This is definitely not condensation! Above that is the roof terrace, where the windows were replaced last week. Apparently, there are now some problems with that.

I wonder when this misery will finally end! How is plaster and screed supposed to dry like this? One can probably forget the usual readiness for covering as per protocol because of all these events, no? It is also of little use if the measuring point is somewhere entirely different from where the puddles of water are/were. And I also doubt that this is good for the plaster.

The rear garage door also lets water through.

Such a huge mess!

Also, my painter asked whether we can already cut off the blue strips at the baseboards to improve drying behind them. I talked to the site manager about it, and he said definitely not! If we remove them, he would immediately send us a letter saying that he is no longer liable under the warranty. These strips serve as a soundproofing bridge between screed and wall and must not be removed. I was all the more surprised that his drywall installer apparently actually removed them in several places now. I don’t understand any of this.
