Well, you can probably always find little things. And even if - like us - you’re not building for the first time and should already have some practice

But maybe I’m just too used to all the questioning and being annoying because of the job. The construction so far has just been like a completely "normal" project With all its ups and downs.

Maybe it’s the balance between "loosening the reins and letting the professionals do their job" and "I want it exactly THIS way, whether they say it’s possible or not".
Most of the time it even works

Speaking of the garage gutter connection... It was installed incorrectly in our case. Connected to an empty conduit that was only meant for a garden hose from the garage toward the garden. Then eventually water started gushing out of the empty conduit in the garden and we wondered where the hell the water was coming from.

Nope. Just put an outlet in the base cabinet and then you can put the toothbrush in there....

And I had the same experiences as you: always put off...yeah yeah yeah no you don’t draw that in, we’ll do that on site at the construction...great then on site: no, that won’t work now, we should have done xyz beforehand....

And we did everything we could and were mentally exhausted....still now there are things wrong that we actually thought we had looked at 100 times...

Other things I simply didn’t know.....For example, I should have asked the carpenter for a precise beam plan.....that way I would have known beforehand that the beams in the exposed roof truss are only 48 cm apart and in the bathroom, right in the middle, it then changes to 55 cm....I assumed common sense would tell you that looks ugly....but no, I was taught otherwise....

Their general contractor architect has, I believe, found a pretty good solution that combines the appearance and the usability of the space quite well. It is a carpenter solution where the refrigerator wall remains in the room. I think it's good.

What I find a bit unfortunate regarding the terrace exit doors is that there apparently are no narrower door frames that would allow for more glass surface in width. The general contractor said about this:

"The narrower frame in the area of terrace doors cannot be realized because the weight of the glazing makes the offered frame thickness statically necessary. Otherwise, the frame would warp in a very short time, which is of course not desired."

I also find mirrors in altar folding very practical, although it doesn’t require a box for plasters, tablets, and replacement blades behind it.
