I don't necessarily see GU as a budget option. And whether an expert is good or bad, as a layperson I can't judge after a first conversation. At the beginning, you can't do much more than read in forums like this and research experiences with construction companies (and those can be skewed because bad reviews were suppressed by lawyers). Therefore, I wonder how something like this is supposed to be predictable in this case. Overall, building the first house has an immense learning curve. With this knowledge, one can definitely make far fewer mistakes in a second house build: "Try - Fail - Try again - Fail better!"

Today the piping was allegedly changed again. I had complained about not accepting it like this and not accepting any changes to the execution planning. Strangely enough, it seems it is still possible to shift the thing in the ceiling and hide it in the sand-lime brick wall. I'm curious. Tomorrow noon I will be there again and will take a look.

Therefore, one is supposed to build the first house for an enemy, the second for a friend, and only the third for oneself.

Now don't blame the thief for everything. As if people had "loser" tattooed on their foreheads. Talking (sales) is something different from delivering. This applies to all industries, not just in the construction sector.

I myself once fell for a really great expert ... when you google him, he appears at the top on all internet sites ...

Website is mega professional ....

Unfortunately, the guy is sitting somewhere on the Cayman Islands and only comes here a few times a year to look at houses, rip people off, and then enjoy a few nice months abroad again

Could not even take action against it, all my comments on review sites were deleted ....

I was just at the construction site. They have now punched a hole in the calcium silicate brick wall, but have not yet laid the pipe. The hole is also so far only in the calcium silicate brick wall and not in the filigree ceiling, where it would also need to go through in order to route the pipe in the ceiling. I hope they only lacked the necessary tools to drill into the concrete and that everything will be done next week.

I met with the drywall installer today. He told me that it is completely normal to still have quite a few pipe lines running through the rooms. He has this in almost every project and has been working for them for two years.

And he says that from his point of view, the general contractor is very good and that he has had significantly worse ones he has worked with. I even believe him.
