We have everything Poroton and all pipes and also electrical cables are inside the interior walls (with one exception, in the guest WC, because it borders the neighboring house). When I look at your photos, I fluctuate between admiration (how does he endure this, I would have no desire for my dream house anymore by now, seeing how incompetent idiots mess things up) and relief (that so far we apparently had only competent craftsmen who immediately fixed the minor errors).

The "work sockets" are to be installed at a height of 1150 mm according to the kitchen furniture layout, but without specifying whether that is meant as after Christ or without sausage tax.

I see the pipe and cable housing being run up to the window – not the last word in wisdom, but the smallest aesthetic evil.

You mean like this?

That really reminds me of your statement that you see yourselves selling us again in two years. It’s starting to become too many serious issues for me to imagine living like this in the long run. I already hate this house! Defaced beyond repair. Several parties involved have completely failed in their profession. How can anyone plan a wall like that in the kitchen?

No idea what exactly I’m supposed to write to the electrician from that.

Phew, feelings of hatred towards the new house and then having to really put a lot of money on the table. A very stupid combination.

But I understand your frustration.
Question about the visual rescue of the kitchen: are the wall cupboards absolutely necessary? Is there otherwise not enough storage space? Otherwise, I would consider not having them at all. Like in the picture above, so no longer symmetrical, they look like they are trying but failing. Better to leave them out.
Do you have a downdraft extractor or was an extractor planned in one of the wall cupboards?
If no normal extractor was planned, then I would opt for a good lighting solution and leave out the wall cupboard. That way, the soffit is less noticeable.

Personally, I would also like it better without the soffit.

Yes, with a bit of luck the shortage of land will put us in a situation where we can get off lightly through a later sale. For example, we had acquaintances in the house who didn't understand at all why things like the small terrace doors bother me so much. Apparently there are simply people who don't value details that much, no idea.

Extractor in the wall cabinet.

I have to look at it calmly; everything was planned down to the detail. And now none of it is feasible. At the moment I am just fed up and don't feel like it anymore.

What I can't believe: both experts said something like that is normal? Would that mean you have to accept things like that? That pipes are visible everywhere or have to be boxed in?

Yes, cladding is normal in the bathroom, but not in the kitchen?

I understand that you're already annoyed, but please don't forget: As long as you are building, you focus on every problem and everything that doesn't fit... you see every little joint that doesn't fit and in your case every pipe...

Believe me, if you had bought a finished house, you wouldn't notice all that and would live with it...

Try to make the best of it....
