Topic: Door Garage-House. Why are you all against it?

I am not against this door, but only against the influence on the floor plan and the house placement that one grants such a door, even though it is not "decisive for war" after all - supported by my personal experience of how often I have already walked my half-kilometer-long path between house and garage without getting wet.

The windows are still in the old state. I will adjust them as soon as the interior concept is finalized. Tomorrow I will take a closer look at the attic again. Why is everyone against it? It is also important to me to have direct access to the garage. Especially when the garage is so large and provides space not only for cars but also for other small items.

Idea for the ground floor: turn the staircase direction, place a large built-in wardrobe underneath and connect it with the airlock. This creates a great coat area when entering the house from the garage. I don't like the sofa's viewing direction, I would turn the sofa to face the garden, TV on the extended fireplace wall or to the left next to the living room window. Another idea, if the guest room is sufficient at 8 sqm: place the guest room on the ground floor and also convert the guest toilet into a shower bathroom. Upstairs then home office (previously guest room).

I think the suggestion is very good. Disadvantage - you now have no storage room. Neither under the stairs nor in the kitchen... But you have a large kitchen with plenty of storage space ... and don't forget - a basement. I also find the solution on the upper floor good. However, I would place the door between the changing room and the bedroom at the very front to keep walking distances shorter. @jpg - yes, I also find the 1m wide long corridor extremely narrow. It should be 1.3m.
