One reason against glass for me in this case is that the wall to which the shower wall is attached has a step. The baseboard, behind which the supply and drain pipes disappear, reaches up to a height of 1.20 meters. The rear cut edge of the shower wall has a step .... which is difficult to do in glass.
In addition, the corner washbasin will be attached to the wall and will (presumably) need holes for the bolts on which the basin hangs.

but: Thanks for the suggestion :)

For the sake of completeness, here is a report on the now approved plans: The shower wall will be made of granite. (no glass and no tiles) A stainless steel U-profile will be screwed onto the bathroom wall and floor (the underfloor heating has no pipes at that spot) and into it a 20mm thick granite slab will be glued with silicone. The disadvantage is that no stonemason wants to grind such a slab - which after production has only been smoothed on one side. The back side is roughly sawn... I already have the processing tool for it lying around (for other purposes).... it is an unpleasant, laborious job that takes a long time and where the water needed for grinding splashes around. You need a rubber apron and rubber boots and stand in stone dust sludge. But I like the result, so that's how I'll do it.

Then I hope for you that the granite slab does not break when you want to make holes for the sink. What do the walls in the shower look like then? Are you going to make those with granite slabs as well? I did the DIY with granite floor tiles.

With the tiles, you could also create a wall that is clad on both sides. It then looks almost the same. It's better for DIY and cheaper to implement.

Do you have enough helpers for the transport inside the house?

In my opinion, an inexpensive solution is a glass wall that has been sandblasted on one side. Every glazier can do the cutting.

There will be no drillings in the granite slab - contrary to my earlier plans. The basin can be attached to the wall on one side (this is how the construction of the currently planned basin is designed) and will be supported from below by a pedestal.

The slab is 150 x 50 cm in size and can be easily moved by one person.

The walls will be tiled white all around. The floor will be covered with 1 cm thick granite slabs (I have already done this elsewhere in the house and it has proven successful).

Nice if someone thinks along :)
