Exactly, that's what I mean. I want fast and strong growth. But definitely no uncontrolled spreading. I still find the flowering to be a fascinating phenomenon. Is there actually an overview of which variety last flowered when? 60-100 years wouldn't matter, but 20 years would be very annoying. Do the dealers properly inform about that? If they even know Stöger about it...

Yes, but you can watch out for that. I don't know the video, but we have had a Phyllostachys by the pond for about 15 years as well (because it is simply the more beautiful bamboo). Of course, it also tries to grow toward the pond. Then the rhizomes come up along the smooth liner wall and you can cut them off.

The garden may lose color, but a morning autumn atmosphere has its own charm, doesn’t it?

It's me again ;)

How satisfied are you with the Houe wooden table? How long have you had it and how does the wood look? Is it under a roof?

We definitely need new garden furniture now, and I simply prefer tables with wooden tops.

I am very fond of, for example, Houe Circle and Sketch (both bamboo) and also, for example, Niehoff Kubu (teak).

The table will be outside with us all year round under the roof and won't be exposed to rain except sometimes during a storm. My wife is very skeptical about the durability of such a table... Roughness, cracking, and chipping worry her.

Of course, I’m also happy about experiences from other wooden table owners ;)

Among other things, we moved a teak wood table. It has been permanently outside for over 12 years now, has since developed a beautiful silvery color and some patina, as we do not polish it. During this time, it has only been cleaned and oiled 3 times. Not rough, no cracks, no splinters. 2 benches as well. Good and simple furniture, not a brand manufacturer, but from one of those teak wood furniture shops.

I love Himalayan balsam! I'm already considering harvesting the bushes around our apartment and sowing them near the house. It used to grow in my grandma's backyard back then. I'm always happy when I smell it.

We do have the phone contact of a great landscape gardener. He just doesn't answer the phone or writes that he will get back to us "soon." Only the bunglers from the neighborhood could start immediately. It's really hard when you grew up with one-click-buy and Prime. Everything drags on so much, and online reviews are worthless for craftsmen.
