Things are also progressing in the garden with us. I am really proud of my husband. He did it all himself. The goal is to have everything finished by next year. The play area for the children is almost done. The mud kitchen and the stilts house on the paved area are still missing. The garden house is set up and already planted in an insect-friendly way. The shell of the chicken coop is standing.

The sandbox looks good? How is the construction? I think the bottom of the sandbox is lower than the surrounding pavement? Sidewalk slabs set vertically as an edge in concrete?

Success and failure...

The gooseberry standard didn’t make it. It’s completely wilted now and has to be moved to the compost. But there will be new offspring in the berry bed next year.

The success is not our own: For weeks a mole has been causing havoc on mother-in-law’s lawn. Every morning there are new heaps. Well, yesterday morning mother-in-law called, there’s a mole at her cellar entrance. Neighbour's cat apparently caught it to play with, then it escaped and couldn’t find a way out in front of the cellar. The little guy was really furious! Now he’s allowed to find a new field of activity a few hundred meters away in a meadow. Let’s see if this ends the heap orgy on the lawn.

Tomatoes, chili, and cucumbers are thriving in the greenhouses. The first small harvest has already been gathered. The flower mix in the bed is also about to bloom.... I’m looking forward to seeing what all comes! We definitely have a whole lot of sunflowers.

The pool has been standing for two weeks now. The water is almost bathtub warm The "pool heater" was really worth it, even though we currently only have 2 elements in operation; the plan is to put all 3 elements on the shed roof. But the shed will be enlarged anyway, so we can do that in one go.

And one more nice thing: My two Nardi sun loungers are being delivered today. Finally! Now I only need a vacation

So, after spending 2 hours removing weeds from 250m2 of lawn and still not finished, now comes the chemical hammer.

Compo lawn weed killer.

I have removed, believe it or not, 3 buckets full of thistles, dandelions, and clover. I did exactly the same about a month ago, and another time a month before that.

Yes, many will now scold me, but I don’t care. As compensation, I have a 10-meter-long and 2-meter-high wall with flowers for the bees and beetles, that’s more compensation than many others.

I had to get that frustration off my chest, now I’m going to rinse it off.

I use Celaflor for that... which I have also already pulled out as weeds... eventually it's enough. And if the neighbor still has such a pile lying around, the whole undertaking won't get any easier^^
