I actually don't want to have to put away all the cushions and covers all the time.

Cushions, however, cannot withstand moisture over time, despite their outdoor qualities.

All the garden furniture I've seen so far in hardware stores doesn't appeal to me visually or in terms of quality.

I have a whole list of furniture shops for Danish, Scandinavian, but also other special furniture. There is always an outdoor section included. For example Made.com, Riess, Kare, ... I would give you the tip: buy 4 cheap chairs at the Danish Bettenlager and wait with the large purchase.

Well, our good garden centers carry Kettler and Co.

Kettler is now somewhat a special kind of "standard" and doesn't really seem to fit you.

Didn’t want to suggest Kettal, Gloster, Fermob right away :p

I also don’t want to go overboard financially in advance. At some point, there should be a [Lamellendach] that also allows for high-quality lounge furniture with cushions. I currently have too little disposable income for real high-end furniture. Or I would have to give up a few watches from my collection. But before that happens, I’d rather sit on the floor :p :p

When you buy lounge furniture, make sure the backrest is not too low and the seat is not too deep, as that always becomes uncomfortable.

We have had some from Lidl for 5 years, they do what they are supposed to and still look very good even though they are outside from February to October.
