Find a remote corner in your garden and plant everything directly in the ground there.. most of it can be relocated later without any problems. What doesn't survive the winter goes on the compost. Folientunnel is rubbish..

We did it this way with our "half" garden… had brought many cuttings from the old garden. Some I only moved to the suitable spot two years later.

We had several plants buried with the pot against a wall, the pot then does not freeze through. It went well

This is actually the best for the plants. The biggest danger in pots is not freezing through, but drying out or waterlogging. Correct watering in winter in pots is difficult, it is better to plant the plants relatively close together in a bed.

Holes in the bottom of the pot help prevent waterlogging, they should be present anyway. For me, freezing through is actually a problem. Especially when it gets cold like the winter before last.

That's how I did it during the construction phase and the first winter afterward as well. It works wonderfully.

That’s obvious anyway. In winter most plants need significantly less water, otherwise the roots rot. The leaves don’t draw water and shoots don’t grow either. I find it almost impossible to give the right amount of water. Add to that the changing conditions under the foil? Very little would survive with me.
