Just like with us :D

Doesn't storm me in the slightest, I would just like it a bit flatter.

Mow regularly with a mulching mower, fertilize regularly with wheat fertilizer n p mg k. And don't be too picky, then the lawn isn't such a big deal.

Karsten, the windows in the house in [Rosenbogen] look as if a pair of eyes is looking upwards... like this smiley:

Yep. And you can see that it also works without a fence and yet everyone knows what is mine and yours. We have placed the rose arch as a passage to our direct neighbors A. and J., so you can go around to the other side without having to ring the bell much. That is quite communicative.

Well. I guess it depends on what you want to achieve.
In your picture, I see a lawn that is far too long and not very dense. The blades are narrow, which is a result of Blaukorn (tall and long, but not sustainable = broad and dense, weed-resistant). Behind the archway there is clover or thistle covering the lawn.
Not that it’s without charm, that’s fine. But you can also have other goals.

Edit: Ah ok, behind the archway is the neighbor. Then give him some tips, he has weeds and they’ll soon spread to you ;-)
Your lawn is very long, thin, not dense, and the tips of the blades look frayed (turning yellow, dull blades, etc).

We have a greenkeeper in the neighborhood who cares for his lawn at home according to his profession. Aside from the appearance, it’s amazing to walk on. As if walking on clouds, the lawn practically carries you. But he also mows it down to (at most) 2, that’s how dense it is.
