View into the vegetable garden... after the long cold, it is now catching up...

And where is the wall or the metal garage? Where would there be something to do there?
If I were you, I would have placed the terrace all around the house so that you can sit more quietly in the evening.

Today we filled in the trenches for the lawn irrigation. That way, mowing can finally take place on Friday. The vegetable garden still needs a bit more time, I started late this year – many plants are waiting to be planted in the greenhouse.

Meanwhile, the earth embankment is blooming nicely again. Last year we did a pretty radical pruning on the trees, and they all recovered very well. As soon as it is June, the lily of the valley finally blooms...

These are Houe Click chairs, on the other side there are also Fermob chairs (though you can't really see them here) and the table is Houe Four. We are also very satisfied and the chairs are super comfortable!

Yes, the reason was the money. ;)
We also paved in front of the house and under the carport and shed. The entire area in front of and around the house is well over 100 m². The plain concrete rectangular stones were significantly cheaper there. For the terrace, however, those were too plain for us, so we took tumbled stones for that. They are still made of concrete but look nicely rustic. They also match pretty well in color with the simple ones around the house.

The thing about mowing the lawn is a very good argument. I always found it annoying along fences before.
I was thinking of something like this for the edging:

Maybe a bit higher towards the flower bed – if that doesn’t use too many stones – but definitely with a mowing edge on the lawn side.
Today I want to start with the garden layout. It will be exciting; I am a complete beginner and have never done anything like this. We took over the garden at the rental house in jungle condition. O.O
But so far, luck has been on my side; yesterday I got a bargain and acquired a pallet of clinker bricks very cheaply.
